Now that the bubble has burst, let’s be frank: it was absurd to base our well-being on property prices.
It’s been obvious for years that real estate was a bubble ready to burst. Politicians and government officials deserve the pounding they are getting for failure to take action sooner.

This attempt to live bubble to bubble has got to be curtailed by regulation. We’ve got to start figuring out how to live for the long term, not just quarter to quarter. It’s just like how we treat the planet… throwing our trash about without regard to how it might impact other people or the environment…
