Here I am with all the regalia ready for my study on Monday night… pleasant dreams.
After completing a sleep study, they give you a survey about your experience. The last question is, “If you could change one thing about your experience with the Sleep Health Center, what would it be?”
My answer: Have the technologist explain that you will probably be awoken several times during the night to reattach leads, adjust the breathing sensors, and that the experience will probably not be any more restful than a regular hospital stay where they wake you up to give you a sleeping pill. I was expecting to have a relatively restful night and that expectation wasn’t challenged by the staff, so I came into the experience with unrealistic expectations.
