Penniless Engineer takes a new job

The last time we saw the penniless engineer, he was working for Microsoft.  Now it seems that he has taken a new position with ActiveState Software as demonstrated in this advertisement from Software Development Times 15 August 2005 issue.  He’s not going to get a very good reputation job hopping around like he has been doing.  I hope he can keep this gig for a while.

    I think the advertising departments are penniless to be using the same stock images for the past couple of years. Of course, who wants to be pictured supporting Microsoft anyways? On the other hand, it must’ve cost a pretty penny just to get the some guy to stand in front of a whiteboard and smile.
