Crust Ingredients
- 1½ cups all purpose flour
- ½ cup butter
- ¾ cup white sugar
- ½ teaspoon salt
Filling Ingredients
- 6 oounces butterscotch chips
- ½ cup white Karo syrup
- 2 Tablespoons butter
- 1 Tablespoon water
Topping Ingredients
- 12 ounce can mixed nuts, or combination of cashews, almonds, and macadamia nuts
Method
- Preheat oven to 350 F
- Prepare crust by cutting butter into flour, sugar, and salt. Blend well.
- Spread crust in greased 9 x 13 inch pan. Bake 10 minutes, just until it starts to brown.
- When crust comes out of the oven, combine the filling ingredients, and melt over low heat, stirring until combined. Remove from heat.
- Spread the filling over the baked crust, and sprinkle with the mixed nuts topping
- Bake all three layers for 10 more minutes
