I Managed to totally destroy my printing subsystem trying to get CUPS-PDF working. What would have been a major disaster in Windows (requiring a wipe and install of the OS) only required a simple reinstall of printing support from the Snow Leopard DVD, an install of the rollup patch and an update to the HP printer drivers, and I was back in business.
And, when I reinstalled printing, the installer told me what rollup patch I should look for.
Now that’s customer service. I didn’t even have to call support.
