Husband bashing

A rather disturbing trend is emerging.  Recently I have noticed two commercials that are following the same line of making us husbands look stupid.

In the first commercial for some SUV; the wife takes the garbage out of the garage, and instead of putting it at the curb, puts it half way down the drive so that when her husband backs out of the garage his new “radar” backup feature will kick in and alert him that their is something in the way.  She couldn’t help out and take the trash all the way to the curb?  Only men can take out the garbage?

And, in the second commercial, apparently the husband is too stupid to remember to go to the cleaners by himself and the wife plants little suggestive sticky notes all over the inside of the SUV to get him to show off the features of the vehicle.

On second thought; maybe the point isn’t Husband bashing per se, but that you must be a stupid male to buy a $2.00 a gallon, 18 MGP, gas guzzling SUV.
