How job sharing email lists work

Had to send this message to some goof on the Smiley job sharing list who bothered to tell the whole list that he didn’t think he was qualified for a particular job that was posted on the list.  Sheesh.

That’s nice that you believed you needed to reply, but the way this works, is that people post opportunities that they hear about to the Smiley list, and you act on them, or not, depending on your abilities.  You don’t need to share with the whole list your opinion of whether you are qualified, or if you are interested in any particular posting.

Just take the information an act on it, or ignore it, as you see fit.

You should also share any opportunities that you come across that are IT related.

And, if you land a job it’s nice to tell everyone about it, but otherwise, we all get enough email to delete out of our mailboxes without you adding idle chatter to the conversation.

Thanks for playing!
