Unhappy with the color of Compact Fluorescent Lamps? When you are purchasing bulbs look at the Color Temperature (measured in Kelvins [K], the higher the number the cooler, “bluer”, the light is). A Sylvania Soft White Bulb has a rating of 2850K. Newer bulbs are starting to get warmer colors.
Bulb | K | Lifetime | Cost |
---|---|---|---|
Lemnis’ Pharox LED | 3000 | 25 Years | $50 |
Earthmate’s Super Mini-Size CFL | 2700 | 10,000 Hours | $3.50 |
Philips’ T60 Halogena | 2900 | 3,000 Hours | $5.00 |
