Bag-o-hammers

Last Friday, New Years’s day, I went to Jimmy John’s to pick up some sandwiches for lunch.  My bill was $17.76 and I remarked that 1776 was a good year.  The cashier looked at me quizzically and said that was like 210 years ago, what was so good about it?

I said, “Don’t you know what happened that year?  That it was the year our country was founded.”

She said, “Oh, whatever.”

Uh duh!

Could it be because she was blonde?
