Been wondering for a while what is the purpose of those armbands that NFL and College players are sporting above the elbow. A search of the web came up with all kinds of reasons including:
- Reducing the tension at the point of connection of the muscles to the bone
- An attempt to kick racism out of football
- Other political or charitable causes
- They’re sweatbands
But apparently the real reason, from a reputable source is: Armbands are decorations for football players
It’s a good thing the Saints won the game, or there would be many more angry Viqueens fans…
